i don’t understand why there are so many people that don’t like valentine’s day… like yea i know that it’s not like christmas or any important holiday but do you know why it exist?

it exists in commemoration for st. valentine, a priest in the third century, who was sentenced to death by emperor claudius because this emperor believed that soldiers who aren’t in a relationship or married perform better than soldiers who are single.

emperor claudius made all men to prohibit, and i dunno or he even have them killed, i can’t remember, when they enter a relationship with someone, especially at a young age. he made sure priests would stop marriage to the young couples to happen.

St. valentines went against that and continued to do marriage ceremonies to the young couples and was eventually put to death because of it.  HE DIED FOR THE SAKE OF PEOPLE WANTING TO LOVE EACH OTHER AND WANTING TO BE TOGETHER. st. valentine did this because he sees no wrong in men getting married.

like is there something wrong in falling in love when it is human nature to do so?

if you’re single and prefer to have this day called “single-awareness day” then ok! no one’s stopping you. however, don’t pose so much hate on this valentines day. you will have a valentine sooner or later. i never had a valentine my whole life till this year because i waited patiently for someone who would accept me for all that i am as a person even tho i rejected to be with him first before ending up with him. love is patient, and love is kind right?  but even tho i didn’t have past valentines, did i cry about it? no, instead i still celebrated it by myself because i get to have chocolates and be fat! and i like chocolates so it works out for me big time.

like if you have no valentine, just treat yourself and be happy you know. be patient you’ll get your valentine soon.
